1- Union Minister Kiren Rijiju launched the Ayush Clinical Case Repository portal and the third version of Ayush Sanjivani App in a virtual event.
2- US President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate Indian American Arun Venkataraman to a key position in his administration related to foreign commercial service.
3- The International Solar Alliance (ISA), the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and the World Bank organised a two-day strategic inception workshop on ‘One Sun One World One Grid (OSOWOG)’ wherein all the implementation partners came together and presented their roadmap for OSOWOG.
4- A local court fined Twitter 19 million rubles (about $259,000) for its failure to remove banned content, including calls for unauthorised protests, increasing fines on the company to 27.9 million rubles ($380,000).

5- A total investment of $8.1 trillion in nature is required over the next three decades to successfully tackle the climate, biodiversity, and land degradation crises, according to the State of Finance for Nature report. This amounts to $536 billion a year by 2050.
6- Compared to financial crises, a health crisis can be more pervasive, persistent and debilitating in its impact on the real economy, as per the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) annual report for 2020-21.
7- Former World Champion Tejaswini Sawant, topped the Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) section of the 50M Rifle Prone event, at the European Shooting Championship in Croatia.
8- The Indian men’s football team retained its 105th position in the latest FIFA world rankings released.

9- Bharat Ratna Professor C.N.R. Rao has received the International Eni Award 2020 for research into renewable energy sources and energy storage, also called the Energy Frontier award.
10- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has established the near isothermal forging technology to produce all the five stages of high-pressure compressors (HPC) discs out of difficult-to-deform titanium alloy using its unique 2000 MT isothermal forge press.
11- Ministry of Power, Government of India has transferred the prestigious 220 kV Srinagar-Drass-Kargil-Khaltsi-Leh Transmission System to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSU of Government of India.
12- The Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has approved the proposal to provide monetary assistance to 11.8 Crore students (118 Million Students) through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of the cooking cost component of the Mid-Day-Meal Scheme, to all eligible children, as a special welfare measure.

13- Union Government has accorded approval for substantial hike in salary of employees who are working under National Health Mission in Jammu and Kashmir.
14- Based on deficiencies in regulatory compliance, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 10 Crore on the HDFC Bank.
15- Twitter has listed a new subscription-based service “Twitter Blue” on App Store, in an indication that the company is preparing to trial the offering soon.
16- The Jammu and Kashmir government issued orders appointing 1988-batch IAS officer Arun Kumar Mehta as the new chief secretary of the Union Territory.

17- National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval virtually commissioned offshore patrol vessel Sajag that has been built by Goa Shipyard Limited for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).
18- Uttar Pradesh Government launched Bal-Seva Yojana for the children who lost their parents due to COVID pandemic.
19- The Civil Aviation Ministry said it has permitted drone operations, up to 400 feet above the ground in 166 new green zones across the country.
20- Cricket Australia appointed Nick Hockley as its new chief executive officer.

21- Civil engineering and construction company J Kumar Infraprojects Ltd has bagged an order worth Rs 1,307.88 crore from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
22- The government announced extending the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme to the civil aviation sector, a move that is expected to provide a liquidity solace for the pandemic-hit segment.
23- Defending champion Pooja Rani (75kg) notched up a second successive gold with a comprehensive victory even as the seasoned M C Mary Kom (51kg) signed off with a silver medal at the Asian Boxing Championships.
24- Indian Grandmaster P Iniyan qualified for the FIDE World Cup, scheduled to be held in July, by winning the AICF World Cup qualifier online chess tournament.

25- Digital payments and financial services firm Paytm has received in-principle approval from the company’s board to raise around Rs 22,000 crore through an initial public offer during the October-December quarter this year.
26- Lieutenant General Pradeep Chandran Nair took over as the Director General of Assam Rifles, India’s oldest paramilitary force.
27- Senior advocate Mahesh Jelthmalani was nominated to the upper house of the Parliament.
28- WhatsApp has named Paresh B Lal as its grievance officer for India on its website.

29- Agro-chemical major UPL Ltd said it has appointed Ashish Dobhal as Regional Director for India.
30- This year WHO Director-General Special award has been given to Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan.
31- The B.1.617.1 and B.1.617.2 variants of the COVID-19, first identified in India, has been named as ‘Kappa’ and ‘Delta’ respectively, the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced as it named various variants of the coronavirus using Greek alphabets.
32- Brazil was named as the new host for the Copa America after Colombia and Argentina were stripped of the tournament.

33- Indian heavyweight boxer Sanjeet bagged Gold at the Asian Boxing Championships in Dubai.
34- Retail mall developer Phoenix Mills Ltd and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC have partnered to establish a USD 733 million (approx Rs 5,362 crore) investment platform for retail-led mixed-use assets in India.
35- England club Everton confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti has left his position as manager to take up the role of head coach at Real Madrid.
36- China has started sharing hydrological data on Brahmaputra and Sutlej rivers, an annual exercise of giving information on these two water bodies to India.

37- Reliance BP Mobility Ltd has deployed a mobile fuel bowser in Mumbai for supplying fuel free of cost to ambulances on COVID-19 duty.
38- Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) has appointed Nitin Mittal as president – Technology & Data.
39- Lt Gen Manoj Pande took charge as the new commander of the operationally crucial Eastern Army Command.
40- China successfully launched the first of a new generation meteorological satellite into planned orbit which will be used in the fields of weather analysis, environmental and disaster monitoring.

41- The clinical trial of Bharat Biotech’s COVAXIN on children began at AIIMS Patna.
42- India is set to get 8 new Flying Training Academies under the liberalised Flying Training Organisation (FTO) policy of the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
43- Rubber Skill Development Council (RSDC) will now be known by the name ‘Rubber, Chemical and Petrochemical Skill Development Council’ (RCPSDC).
44- The mango belt in Lucknow and its adjoining areas, including Malihabad, Unnao, and Rae Bareli, will be developed as a mango cluster under the Central government’s Cluster Development Programme.

45- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has lowered its growth projection for the current financial year to 9.5 per cent from the previous estimate of 10.5 per cent.
46- The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad has developed nano-fibre based oral tablets of Amphotericin B, called as AmB, to treat fungal infections post COVID treatment.
47- NASA has announced that it is sending two new missions to Venus in order to examine the planet’s atmosphere and geological features.
48- Ministry of Defence signed a contract with M/s Mahindra Telephonics Integrated Systems Ltd., Mumbai for procurement of 11 Airport Surveillance Radars with Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar for Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.

49- Britain’s medicines regulator has approved the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech for use on 12 to 15 years old children.
50- Rear Admiral Kapil Mohan Dhir has taken over as the Joint Secretary (Navy & Defence Staff) in the Department of Military Affairs.
51- Indian Railways (IR) is working in mission mode to become the largest Green Railways in the world and is moving towards becoming a “net zero carbon emitter” before 2030.
52- INS Sandhayak, the Indian Navy’s oldest Hydrographic Survey Vessel was decommissioned at Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam after serving the nation for 40 glorious years.

54- Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has appointed former player Hashan Tillakaratne as new head coach of its women’s cricket team.
55- India’s Virendra Nanavati was elected as a member of International Swimming Federation (FINA) Bureau at the world body’s General Congress held in Doha in Qatar.
56- It has been decided that in the 5 North-Western States and UTs i.e.,Punjab,Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission will be expedited and every rural household will be provided with tap water connections by 2022, instead of by 2024.

57- NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company under Ministry of Power has signed E-Mobility Agreements with Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) for leasing of 25 nos of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and supply of 3 nos. of Electric Vehicle fast chargers to NHPC including its installation & commissioning.
58- Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands ran at a blistering pace to smash the women’s 10,000 metres world record, clocking 29 minutes 06.82 seconds at the FBK Games, a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting.
59- Yuka Saso birdied the third playoff hole to beat Nasa Hataoka and become the second teenager to win the U.S. Women’s Open.
60- Foreign lender HSBC announced the appointment of bank veteran Hitendra Dave as its new chief executive for India.

61- Fineotex Chemical announced the appointment of Arindam Choudhuri as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
62- Income Tax Department launched its new e-filing portal www.incometax.gov.in.
63- The Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA) said it will develop the “country’s first electric vehicles-only area” in Gujarat’s Kevadia.
64- The Indian Navy inducted three indigenously-built advanced light helicopters ALH MK III that would be used for maritime reconnaissance and coastal security.

66- Three Indian Universities have achieved top-200 positions in QS World University Rankings 2022. IISc Bengaluru ranked number 1 in the world for research.
67- Giving a boost to ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ mission, the Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the proposal for allotment allotment of 5 MHz Spectrum in 700 MHz frequency band to Indian Railways for public safety and security services at stations and in trains.
68- Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh says, ISRO will assist development projects in the Northeast through Space Technology.

75- Exports of India’s organic farm products surged 51 percent in 2020-21 beating Covid induced hiccups in the supply chain.
76- Government has decided to allow LPG customers to have a choice, deciding which distributors they want their LPG refill from.

83- French pair Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert have won the French Open doubles title for the second time.
84- Czech Republic’s Barbora Krechikova defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia to win her maiden Grand Slam title in the women’s singles of the French Open tennis tournament.

Hyderabad, have been given the regulatory approval by DCGI to undertake a two-arm phase-II clinical trial to assess the safety and efficacy of the drug Colchicine in improvement of clinical outcomes during the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
87- To translate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of providing clean tap water to every household, Union Government has increased the Central allocation for the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission to Uttar Pradesh to Rs. 10,870.50 Crore.
88- In tennis, world No.1 Novak Djokovic clinched his second French open Men’s Singles title.

90- Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has launched the Central Athlete Injury Management System (CAIMS) for streamlining the sports medicine and rehabilitation support offered to the athletes.
91- Justice Sanjay Yadav took oath as the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court.
92- The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi started recruitment for Covaxin clinical trials onwards for the children who are in the age group of 6-12 years.

93- A Pune-based start-up firm Thincr Technologies India Private Limited has integrated 3D printing and pharmaceuticals to develop a mask which inactivates viral particles that come in contact with it, the Department Science and Technology said.
94- Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar has developed a device ‘Jivan Vayu’ which can be used as a substitute of CPAP machine.
95- JSW Sports has tied up with sports masters education institute, AISTS, to offer post-graduate certificate courses and executive education programmes in Sports Management in India.
96- Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has donated 100 oxygen concentrators to Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), its long-standing business partner.

100- The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) launched a TV Channel Selector web portal on Wednesday for consumers who could not access its mobile phone app of the same name due to lack of a smartphone.

103- The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has further extended validity of documents related to Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989 till 30th September, 2021.

107- Global smartphone brand OnePlus announced that it has roped in star India cricketer Jasprit Bumrah as the brand ambassador for its wearables category.
108- The Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India’s apex scientific research organisation and Tata MD, the new healthcare venture from the Tata Group have announced a significant partnership to ramp up the COVID-19 testing capacity across Tier II and III towns as well as rural areas across India.

111- In one of the largest philatelic commemorations ever, India Post issued a special cancellation stamp at 800 locations to mark International Day of Yoga – 2021.
112- NTPC is the only PSU to consistently feature in India’s Top 50 Best Workplaces. This year NTPC ranked 38th up from 47th position last year.

116- The City Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) will allot a plot to set up a science park at Nerul in Navi Mumbai.

118- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully test fired enhanced range versions of indigenously developed 122mm Caliber Rocket from a Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) at Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha.
119- Vikram Bharatsinh of Madhya Pradesh won gold in men’s 10,000 metres on the opening day of the National Inter State Athletics Championships.
120- President of India, in exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, appointed Satyen Vaidya, to be an Additional Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

121- Minister of State for Education, Sanjay Dhotre launched a Rapid Antigen Test kit for COVID-19 developed by IIT Delhi.
122- India’s FY22 GDP growth rate is now expected at 9.6 per cent, lower than an earlier estimate of 10.1 per cent, India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) said.
123- Deepika Kumari becomes World No 1 Archer In Women’s Rankings after a hat-trick of gold in Paris.
