1- Union Minister Kiren Rijiju launched the Ayush Clinical Case Repository portal and the third version of Ayush Sanjivani App in a virtual event.

2- US President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate Indian American Arun Venkataraman to a key position in his administration related to foreign commercial service.

3- The International Solar Alliance (ISA), the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and the World Bank organised a two-day strategic inception workshop on ‘One Sun One World One Grid (OSOWOG)’ wherein all the implementation partners came together and presented their roadmap for OSOWOG.

4- A local court fined Twitter 19 million rubles (about $259,000) for its failure to remove banned content, including calls for unauthorised protests, increasing fines on the company to 27.9 million rubles ($380,000).

5- A total investment of $8.1 trillion in nature is required over the next three decades to successfully tackle the climate, biodiversity, and land degradation crises, according to the State of Finance for Nature report. This amounts to $536 billion a year by 2050.

6- Compared to financial crises, a health crisis can be more pervasive, persistent and debilitating in its impact on the real economy, as per the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) annual report for 2020-21.

7- Former World Champion Tejaswini Sawant, topped the Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) section of the 50M Rifle Prone event, at the European Shooting Championship in Croatia.

8- The Indian men’s football team retained its 105th position in the latest FIFA world rankings released.

10- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has established the near isothermal forging technology to produce all the five stages of high-pressure compressors (HPC) discs out of difficult-to-deform titanium alloy using its unique 2000 MT isothermal forge press.

11- Ministry of Power, Government of India has transferred the prestigious 220 kV Srinagar-Drass-Kargil-Khaltsi-Leh Transmission System to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSU of Government of India.

12- The Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has approved the proposal to provide monetary assistance to 11.8 Crore students (118 Million Students) through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of the cooking cost component of the Mid-Day-Meal Scheme, to all eligible children, as a special welfare measure.

13- Union Government has accorded approval for substantial hike in salary of employees who are working under National Health Mission in Jammu and Kashmir.

14- Based on deficiencies in regulatory compliance, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 10 Crore on the HDFC Bank.

15- Twitter has listed a new subscription-based service “Twitter Blue” on App Store, in an indication that the company is preparing to trial the offering soon.

16- The Jammu and Kashmir government issued orders appointing 1988-batch IAS officer Arun Kumar Mehta as the new chief secretary of the Union Territory.

17- National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval virtually commissioned offshore patrol vessel Sajag that has been built by Goa Shipyard Limited for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).

18- Uttar Pradesh Government launched Bal-Seva Yojana for the children who lost their parents due to COVID pandemic.

19- The Civil Aviation Ministry said it has permitted drone operations, up to 400 feet above the ground in 166 new green zones across the country.

20- Cricket Australia appointed Nick Hockley as its new chief executive officer.

21- Civil engineering and construction company J Kumar Infraprojects Ltd has bagged an order worth Rs 1,307.88 crore from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.

22- The government announced extending the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme to the civil aviation sector, a move that is expected to provide a liquidity solace for the pandemic-hit segment.

23- Defending champion Pooja Rani (75kg) notched up a second successive gold with a comprehensive victory even as the seasoned M C Mary Kom (51kg) signed off with a silver medal at the Asian Boxing Championships.

24- Indian Grandmaster P Iniyan qualified for the FIDE World Cup, scheduled to be held in July, by winning the AICF World Cup qualifier online chess tournament.

30- This year WHO Director-General Special award has been given to Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan.

31- The B.1.617.1 and B.1.617.2 variants of the COVID-19, first identified in India, has been named as ‘Kappa’ and ‘Delta’ respectively, the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced as it named various variants of the coronavirus using Greek alphabets.

32- Brazil was named as the new host for the Copa America after Colombia and Argentina were stripped of the tournament.

33- Indian heavyweight boxer Sanjeet bagged Gold at the Asian Boxing Championships in Dubai.

34- Retail mall developer Phoenix Mills Ltd and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC have partnered to establish a USD 733 million (approx Rs 5,362 crore) investment platform for retail-led mixed-use assets in India.

35- England club Everton confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti has left his position as manager to take up the role of head coach at Real Madrid.

36- China has started sharing hydrological data on Brahmaputra and Sutlej rivers, an annual exercise of giving information on these two water bodies to India.

39- Lt Gen Manoj Pande took charge as the new commander of the operationally crucial Eastern Army Command.

40- China successfully launched the first of a new generation meteorological satellite into planned orbit which will be used in the fields of weather analysis, environmental and disaster monitoring.

47- NASA has announced that it is sending two new missions to Venus in order to examine the planet’s atmosphere and geological features.

48- Ministry of Defence signed a contract with M/s Mahindra Telephonics Integrated Systems Ltd., Mumbai for procurement of 11 Airport Surveillance Radars with Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar for Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.

56- It has been decided that in the 5 North-Western States and UTs i.e.,Punjab,Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission will be expedited and every rural household will be provided with tap water connections by 2022, instead of by 2024.

58- Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands ran at a blistering pace to smash the women’s 10,000 metres world record, clocking 29 minutes 06.82 seconds at the FBK Games, a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting.

59- Yuka Saso birdied the third playoff hole to beat Nasa Hataoka and become the second teenager to win the U.S. Women’s Open.

60- Foreign lender HSBC announced the appointment of bank veteran Hitendra Dave as its new chief executive for India.
