1- Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways had organized ‘Maritime India Summit 2021’ on a virtual platform from 2nd March to 4th March 2021, to promote both international and domestic investment in the Ports and Maritime Sector.

2- A  contract for construction of Eight Missile Cum Ammunition Barges (MCA) has been concluded with M/s SECON, Visakhapatnam a MSME.

3- India hosted a Meeting of BRICS Finance and Central Bank Deputies virtually.

4- President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the newly constructed world’s largest Cricket Stadium at Motera in Ahmedabad.

6- Brazil health ministry signed a deal with Indian pharmaceutical company Bharat Biotech for the purchase of 20 million doses of the Covaxin vaccine.

7- Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the latest technology Integrated Bamboo Treatment Plant near Guwahati.

8- To decongest ticket booking counters & to ensure smooth compliance of social distancing norms, facility to book unreserved tickets through UTS ON MOBILE app is being reactivated by Indian Railways.

26- The Indian Space Research Organisation launched ‘Sindhu Netra’, a satellite developed by the DRDO to monitor the activities of military and merchant navy ships in the Indian Ocean Region.

27- Former Australia all-rounder Tom Moody has been appointed as the Sri Lanka director of cricket.

28- Government has decided to form Centre of Excellence in gaming and other related areas in collaboration with IIT Bombay.

30- The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare of the Republic of India and Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Fiji for cooperation in the field of Agriculture and Allied Sectors.

31- Retired bureaucrat Sanjay Kumar has been appointed the new chairman of the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC).

32- Steelmaker ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) inked an agreement with the Odisha government for setting up a 12 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) greenfield integrated steel plant in Kendrapada district with an investment of Rs 50,000 crore.
