2- A contract for construction of Eight Missile Cum Ammunition Barges (MCA) has been concluded with M/s SECON, Visakhapatnam a MSME.
3- India hosted a Meeting of BRICS Finance and Central Bank Deputies virtually.
4- President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the newly constructed world’s largest Cricket Stadium at Motera in Ahmedabad.

5- The 2nd Khelo India National Winter Games was held from February 26 to March 2, 2021 in Gulmarg.
6- Brazil health ministry signed a deal with Indian pharmaceutical company Bharat Biotech for the purchase of 20 million doses of the Covaxin vaccine.
7- Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the latest technology Integrated Bamboo Treatment Plant near Guwahati.
8- To decongest ticket booking counters & to ensure smooth compliance of social distancing norms, facility to book unreserved tickets through UTS ON MOBILE app is being reactivated by Indian Railways.

10- Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the CERAWeek global energy and environment leadership award during an annual international energy conference.
11- The Sports Ministry has restored the recognition of the faction-ridden Gymnastics Federation of India (GFI) after 10 years, taking into records Sudhir Mittal”s election as president in the polls held in November 2019.
12- The Indian trio of Mairaj Ahmed Khan, Angad Vir Singh Bajwa and Gurjoat Khangura won the bronze medal in men’s skeet team event at the ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Cairo.

13- Retail inflation for industrial workers eased to 3.15 per cent in January against 7.49 per cent in the same month last year, mainly due to lower prices of certain food items.
14- Croma, India’s first omnichannel electronics retailer from the Tata Group announced the launch of its #AppleYou&Croma programme to commemorate the birth anniversary of Apple founder Steve Jobs.
15- Suryakirans, Sarang and Light Combat Aircraft Tejas participated in an air show in Colombo from March 3 to 5 as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lankan Air Force.
16- India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C51 (PSLV – C51) carrying Amazonia-1 and 18 other satellites took off from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.

17- Insurance has become the most-preferred financial product to protect the family against health emergencies post the COVID-19 pandemic with more people inclined to invest in insurance products in the next six months, according to a survey from Tata AIA Life Insurance.
18- Senior advocate Vikas Singh was elected as the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA).
19- Commissioned into the army over a year before running into live action with infiltrating terrorists along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, Captain Rahul Sharma”s heroics have won him the prestigious Sena Medal.
20- The Indian Air Force carried out a long-range precision strike against a practice target to mark the second anniversary of the Balakot Operations.

21- Innovator and educationist Sonam Wangchuk has developed an eco-friendly solar heated tent that Army personnel can use in extremely cold places like Siachen and Galwan valley in the Ladakh region.
22- The Centre has extended the tenure of Pramod Chandra Mody as the Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) by three months till May 31, 2021.
23- The drama film “Minari” about a Korean immigrant family was named the best foreign language film at the Golden Globe Awards.
24- Chadwick Boseman was posthumously honoured with a Golden Golden for his performance as the strong-willed trumpet player Levee who marches to his own beat in the musical period drama “Ma Rainey”s Black Bottom”, the actor”s swansong.

25- ‘Nomadland’, directed by Chloé Zhao, was named the Best Picture – Drama at the 78th Golden Globe Awards.
26- The Indian Space Research Organisation launched ‘Sindhu Netra’, a satellite developed by the DRDO to monitor the activities of military and merchant navy ships in the Indian Ocean Region.
27- Former Australia all-rounder Tom Moody has been appointed as the Sri Lanka director of cricket.
28- Government has decided to form Centre of Excellence in gaming and other related areas in collaboration with IIT Bombay.

29- Bengaluru ranked top on government’s Ease of Living Index; Pune second, Ahmedabad ranked third among 111 cities.
30- The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare of the Republic of India and Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Fiji for cooperation in the field of Agriculture and Allied Sectors.
31- Retired bureaucrat Sanjay Kumar has been appointed the new chairman of the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC).
32- Steelmaker ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) inked an agreement with the Odisha government for setting up a 12 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) greenfield integrated steel plant in Kendrapada district with an investment of Rs 50,000 crore.

34- Indian women”s trap team trio Kirti Gupta, Manisha Keer and Rajeshwari Kumari lost 4-6 to Russia to settle for a silver medal on the concluding day of the ISSF World Cup in Cairo.
35- Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced opening of two new Kendriya Vidyalayas in Karnataka and Punjab.
36- The Bengaluru model of development of citizen-centric initiatives and delivery of services have ensured the top ranking of Bengaluru.

39- The government has made airbag mandatory for passenger in the front seat of a vehicle.
40- The Arunachal Pradesh government has dedicated 2021 as the ‘Year of Education with a planned investment of ₹1,000 crore for the sector, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said.

47- Adani Green Energy said its arm Adani Wind Energy Kutch Three Limited (AWEKTL) has commissioned a 100 megawatt (MW) wind power plant located at Kutch, in Gujarat.
48- Tokyo-bound Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia pulled off a two-pointer in the last 30 seconds of the gold medal bout to defend his title at the Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series event, a result that pushed him back to world number one rank.

50- The first Indian woman to conquer world’s highest summit Mount Everest, Bachendri Pal will lead a 10-member team of women aged above 50 in a five-month long expedition from eastern to western Himalaya beginning in May.
51- ISRO has completed the development of a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) capable of producing extremely high-resolution images for a joint earth observation satellite mission with the US space agency NASA.
52- Around 25 million new jobs will be created by the Indian retail sector by 2030, as per Retail 4.0 Report released by Nasscom in partnership with Technopak.

55- Koneru Humpy, the reigning world chess champion in the rapid format, was won the 2nd BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year award.
56- Seasoned Atanu Das and Tarundeeep Rai among men and Deepika Kumari in the women’s section will headline the Indian recurve archery contingent during this year’s Tokyo Olympics.

71- The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced a new scheme, under which any tourist vehicle operator may apply for an “All India Tourist Authorization/Permit” through online mode.
72- Mumbai lifted their fourth Vijay Hazare Trophy title after defeating Uttar Pradesh by six wickets in the final encounter.

87- India’s economy, estimated to contract by 6.9 per cent in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, is forecast to record a “stronger recovery” in 2021 and grow by 5 per cent, according to a UN report.

110- Indian classical music, Bollywood hits and Bhangra beats are among the diverse musical traditions included in England’s new music curriculum guidance for schools launched.
111- Haryana with six gold medals topped the medal tally and walked away with the overall trophy in the sub-junior cadet freestyle event of the National Wrestling Championship.
